We have Paid Audit, Tax, or CAS (Client Accounting and Advisory Services) Internships

We cater to our clients' needs and expectations while fostering a fun yet challenging work environment. Due to the unique make-up of our clients, interns gain a wide range of experience in either audit or tax. As our intern, you are considered part of our team from the start. We challenge you to grow and gain experience. Class Credit Interns Welcome.

We look for:

  • Junior status or higher

  • GPA of 2.8 or higher

  • Desire to learn

  • Completed Intermediate Accounting

  • Teachable, Enthusiastic Team Player

  • Strong Work Ethic

  • 40-hour week; flexible with fewer hours for students who have class responsibilities during the internship

Audit Internship (Spring, Summer, Fall)

  • Experience a variety of diverse tax returns, including individuals, partnerships, to businesses

  • Increase the complexity of more advanced assignments as your internship progresses

  • Enhance your knowledge through hands-on experience with real client scenarios

CAS Internship (Spring)

  • Assist with accounting assignments such as payroll, payroll tax compliance, and month-end account reconciliation for MCL clients

  • Develop practical on-the-job experience and training using QuickBooks software and learn practical accounting skills

  • Obtain a strong foundation for those considering future internships in tax or audit

  • Participate in a variety of client engagements across industries, including nonprofits, multi-housing housing, churches, and/or commercial businesses

  • Gain full-cycle hands-on audit experience—including planning, fieldwork, and the audit report

  • Build your skills with increasingly complex assignments throughout your internship
